ABOUT TAMIKO

I was born in Japan and have had the privilege of studying and working both in Japan and Europe. My journey led me to Central Saint Martins College of Art in London, where I earned my MA in Design. This experience opened my eyes to the vast, interconnected world of design, sparking a deeper passion for creativity and craftsmanship that transcended borders. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in diverse fields—from textiles to yachts, automotive design and interiors—and these experiences profoundly shaped how I approach design.

Jewellery has always been something I’ve loved, but the turning point came during the COVID period, when I made the decision to move back to Japan permanently. It was then that I met a group of incredible people whose passion and craftsmanship truly inspired me to start my own jewellery journey. Their stories and the artistry I encountered helped me realize that the time had come to create my own brand. I wanted to bring together my design background and my love for jewellery to create something that seamlessly blends my Japanese roots with my international experiences.

Tamiko Jewellery was born from this vision—an endeavour to combine timeless craftsmanship with contemporary design, all infused with an artistic spirit.

Since then, my creations have slowly gained international recognition, and I’m deeply humbled by the opportunity to share a unique fusion of Japanese artistry and modern elegance with the world. However, Tamiko Jewellery is more than just a brand; it represents the culmination of a personal journey. Each piece I create tells a story of self-expression, craftsmanship, and passion. It is my way of sharing with you the essence of my life's work—something meant not just to be worn, but to be cherished.
